Department of Cardiology and Pulmonary Diseases
Our department consists of cardiology, pulmonary medicine, and thoracic surgery. It includes wards, outpatient clinics, surgical operations, and intensive care. We are a research-intensive clinic in close collaboration with Uppsala University.
Our Operations
Thoracic Surgery Ward 50 D is the only thoracic surgical ward in the department. We provide highly specialized thoracic surgical care. The majority of our operations are planned, but we also conduct some acute and subacute care with direct admissions to the ward from our collaborating regions.
The ward also includes our preoperative clinic, where our patients come for admission, but we also handle follow-up visits after surgery. The clinic is staffed by personnel from the ward. The ward has 25 beds staffed by a large and dedicated team of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, managers, physiotherapists, staffing assistants, and ward secretaries. We work with the patient in focus, and you will have an exciting job where you meet patients of various ages and situations and help make a difference in their lives.
Your Mission
We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of the department's administrative team and work as a ward administrator in our department. As a ward administrator, you are our face to the outside and play an important role in our efficient flow. You are centrally located in the ward and collaborate with all professional categories present in and around the ward.
The tasks are varied; everything from financial registration, answering calls, handling medical records and test results, to scheduling examinations and visits. Some research administration is also included. As a ward secretary, you will work 100% daytime Monday to Friday.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with experience in healthcare administration.
Your Skills
You are an independent and flexible person. You enjoy planning, organizing, and prioritizing, but also re-prioritizing in the face of rapid changes. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working with a varied pace and developing tasks. We see that you are a responsible and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment. In this recruitment, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
